Three machined stainless steel shaft sleeves of different sizes

We make sleeves and bushes in stainless, duplex, nickel cast iron and bronze, or in PTFE and polymer bearing materials, and supply them hard-chromed, thermal-sprayed or Stellite-hardfaced through specialist partners when your drawing calls for it.

Materials: 316 and 431 stainless, duplex 1.4462, 410 and 420 stainless, and the other grades on our materials list. Surfaces: hard chrome, thermal spray or Stellite hardfacing, applied by specialist partners and machined to finish where needed. You receive the finished sleeve.

Bushes

  • Bearing bushes, neck bushes and interstage bushes.
  • Metals: nickel cast iron, bronze, stainless.
  • Polymers: PTFE, glass-filled PTFE, nylon and polymer bearing materials, machined from blanks supplied by specialist partners.

Questions buyers ask

Who makes pump shaft sleeves near Johannesburg?

MSE in Germiston, east of Johannesburg, makes shaft, protection, bearing, spacer, throttling and suction sleeves to drawing or sample, in stainless, duplex and other grades, coated or hardfaced through specialist partners where specified.

Can you supply coated or hardfaced sleeves?

Yes. MSE machines the sleeve and arranges hard chrome, thermal spray or Stellite hardfacing through specialist partners. You receive the finished sleeve from one supplier.

Do you make polymer bushes?

Yes. MSE machines bushes from PTFE, glass-filled PTFE, nylon and polymer bearing materials, as well as from metals such as nickel cast iron.

Do you make interstage bushes for multistage pumps?

Yes. MSE has made interstage bushes in nickel cast iron to drawing.

  • Parts are inspected against your drawing.
  • Run-out is checked on ground shafts.
  • Tell us at quote stage which documents you need, and the quote will say which we supply.

    Email the drawing with its number and revision, or photos, or send us the part itself. Add the material grade, quantity and required date.

    We quote

    We reply with a quote, or with the questions we need answered first. Ask us for the lead time: it depends on the part.

    We make, inspect and deliver

    Made to your drawing, inspected against it, and delivered in our own vehicles with the documents agreed at quote stage.
