Questions buyers ask

Does MSE have CNC machines?

Yes. MSE has two CNC turning centres, a long-bed Daewoo Puma 300LC and a Daewoo Puma CT250, both with Fanuc controls, alongside centre lathes, six milling machines and two cylindrical grinders.

Which machine shop in Gauteng grinds and straightens pump shafts?

MSE in Germiston grinds shaft journals on a Ribon RUR-E 1500 universal grinder and a long-bed Herbert Churchill grinder, and straightens shafts on a hydraulic press, checking run-out at grinding. Longer external grinding goes to a specialist partner.

How large a part can you make?

Send us the size and we confirm it on the quote. As a guide, we make 200 mm diameter shafts 2,857 mm long in hardened and tempered 42CrMo4 as a repeat order. See parts we have made.
