Our history

MSE was registered as a company in 1977. One line has long described our work: "We make spares."

Today our work centres on industrial pumps: the wear rings, shafts, sleeves, bushes and other parts that wear out or fail in service. We make them for pump manufacturers and pump service centres, and components to drawing for other engineering firms.

Who we work for

Our core customers are pump manufacturers and pump service centres. They send us their drawings for wear rings, shafts, sleeves, bushes, balance parts, covers and housings, and for repairs, and we work to their drawing numbers and revisions, their QCPs and their purchasing portals. We also make components to drawing or sample for other engineering firms.

How we work

  • To your drawing, in your material. We make each part to the customer’s drawing number and revision, in the grade the drawing states.
  • One-off to small batch. One spare for a breakdown, or a batch of rings for a service programme.
  • We check the drawing. We check the order against the drawing number and revision. If they differ, we ask you to confirm in writing.
  • The finished part, from us. Heat treatment, coatings, hardfacing, NDT and castings are arranged through specialist partners, and you receive the finished part.
  • Our own delivery. We deliver in our own vehicles.
