Quality, inspection and documents

MSE checks every order against the drawing number and revision before work starts, inspects parts against your drawing on a surface table with digital and vernier height gauges, and checks run-out on ground shafts. On repairs we work to your quality control plan (QCP), stage by stage. Tell us at quote stage which documents you need, and the quote will say which we supply.

Questions buyers ask

Does MSE supply material certificates?

Yes, when the order requires them and the mill provides them: EN 10204 3.1, or 3.2 where the mill issues one. Say so at quote stage, because it changes the material MSE buys.

Can you supply an inspection report?

Ask at quote stage. Tell MSE which documents you need, such as an inspection report of each drawing size against the measured size, and the quote will say which MSE supplies. Mill and heat-treatment certificates are passed on when the order requires them.

Do you check the drawing revision?

Yes. MSE checks every order against the drawing number and revision before work starts, and asks you to confirm in writing if they differ.
